Families are still experiencing long-term negative side effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Studies suggest many people increased their use of alcohol and other substances during the pandemic, especially people with clinical anxiety and depression and those experiencing COVID-19-related stress.

Find out about substance use recovery support programs and other services that can help those who are struggling with addiction in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adolescence is the time when most kids initiate substance use, establish regular patterns of use, and start to experience consequences. Luckily, there are telltale signs that can help you realize what is happening before it’s too late.

Medication Misuse

Misuse of medications, both prescription and over the counter, means taking a medication in a manner or dose other than prescribed or taking someone else’s prescription. Medication misuse can have serious medical consequences.

Find out how early identification of medication misuse and early intervention may prevent the problem from turning into an addiction.
